Excalibur's 825CAN module is a high-density intelligent interface for the 8000-series family of multiprotocol carrier boards. It supports up to five ARINC 825/CAN channels per module - making it well suited for complex test programs where multiple bus segments must be monitored or simulated simultaneously.

MULTI-PROTOCOL ADVANTAGE:
Because the 825CAN module mounts on Excalibur's 8000-series carrier boards alongside modules for MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, AFDX, and other protocols, programs with mixed-bus requirements can consolidate interfaces onto fewer cards. If your test setup requires ARINC 825 and MIL-STD-1553 simultaneously, one carrier board can handle both - rather than two separate cards from two separate vendors.

PROTOCOL CONVERSION:
The MACCII is an advanced multi-protocol converter. Paired with the M8K825CAN module, it enables ARINC 825 data to be converted to and from other protocols - useful for integration scenarios where a CAN bus subsystem must interface with a legacy bus architecture.

 Introduction to ARINC-825:

ARINC 825 is the aviation industry's standard upper-layer protocol built on top of CAN bus (ISO 11898-1/-2). Where CAN bus provides the physical and data-link layer, ARINC 825 defines the message format, node addressing, and network management needed for safety-critical aerospace applications.
